I’m one of those rare cases.  I’m someone who’s doing exactly what I went to school to learn.

Growing up, I loved news and watching television.  Secretly, I wanted to be a teacher.  My mentors and peers told me, “You don’t have the patience,” “Grow up,” and most detrimental, “You’re not college material.”

I proved every one of them wrong and found a way to encompass both loves.

Today, I’m a high school broadcasting instructor.  Plus, once a week, I teach broadcasting at Tulsa Community College.  I also spent the last year as an Associate Producer at our FOX affiliate, co-writing the 9 p.m. show.  During the day, I teach what I love.  At night, I do what I love.
