I was born in Philadelphia Pennsylvania at the close of WW II, the son of an Iron worker. In high school, I was a decent student, got in trouble occasionally, and competed athletically in football, wrestling and track & field. I was Pennsylvania State Champion Discus in my senior year. I went on to college, majoring in pre-veterinary medicine and throwing discus for Penn State University. My dad helped me get into construction which I worked for about a year before enlisting in the military on December 26th 1966. I served proudly for 27 years, retiring as a Command Sergeants Major (E9) from the United States Army Special Forces. I went back to College, graduating from Cameron University, majoring in Biology and Chemistry. I was hired by Mr. Don Undernehr and have spent the last 15 years teaching and coaching at Webster High School.
