Information and Updates

Important school safety expectations

Safety is our top priority at Tulsa Public Schools. We have layered safety practices in place to ensure the well-being of students, staff, and the community. As your student’s best advocate and our partner in supporting young people, we need your help ensuring that these practices are followed consistently and completely.

Key safety measures include:

  • Safety Hotline: Report concerns confidentially at 918-480-SAFE or share@tulsaschools.org
  • Emergency Preparedness: Participate in drills and safety meetings.
  • Access Policies: Do not prop open doors and adhere to the clear bag policy at events.
  • Social Media Conduct: Avoid threats online; serious consequences will follow.
  • For Secondary Students: Expect security screenings daily and wear your TPS ID badge at all times.

Visitors must enter through main offices and state their purpose. Our Campus Police team is present at schools to enhance security. Your cooperation is vital for maintaining a safe environment. For more details click here. If you have questions or concerns, please contact your school principal.

See. Hear. Share. Safety Hotline

Did you know that our See.Hear.Share. safety hotline is staffed around the clock? If you or a student sees or hears something concerning, you can call or text 918-480-SAFE or email share@tulsaschools.org to report a student or school safety concern. Visit www.tulsaschools.org/safety to learn more.

Safely Enjoying State Fair Week in Tulsa

This time of year, many students and families get excited to enjoy the Tulsa State Fair. With that excitement, we often see decreases in attendance and increases in discipline or behavior issues. Parents, please help us maintain our improved attendance this week! Check students' backpacks or materials daily to ensure they are only bringing essential, school-appropriate items to school. Additionally, please review our recent reminder on  safety measures and expectations across Tulsa Public Schools.
