ICAP
What is ICAP?
Individual Career Academic Planning is a collaborative multi-year process that intentionally guides students as they explore career, academic, and postsecondary opportunities.
ICAP is student-driven and adult-supported.
What does ICAP look like?
Elementary
It’s never too early to start your child on the path to career exploration. Discovering their interests at a young age can set children up for success later in life. Encourage your children to ask themselves, “What am I good at?” or “What do I love to do?” Whether it’s playing sports or an enthusiasm for music, children’s interests can help identify future career paths.
Kuder Galaxy is an interactive tool for college & career exploration.
Middle School
During middle school, encourage your child to take advantage on the many college- and career-readiness opportunities available. Middle school students in Tulsa Public Schools will participate in college, career and life readiness activities on the Naviance platform. For more information about this system, please contact your student's advisor.
